Are Geometric Pools Right for You?
Date: 07/30/2024
If you are considering a new pool for your backyard, you have a few different options to choose from for the shape and style of your pool.
One of those options includes geometric pools.
These pools are just as their name implies: geometrically shaped with straight edges and sharper corners rather than the rounded design of free-form pools.
In other words, geometric pools are usually rectangles, while freeform pools can be any shape.
Here are a few things to consider to help you decide if geometric pools are right for you:
- Consider the size of your yard: If you have a larger yard, you have a lot of space to do whatever you want, whether that’s a large geometric shape or a freeform pool. If you have a smaller yard, however, geometric pools are usually best to make the most of the available space and maximize your swimming space.
- Consider the function of your pool: Another important consideration is how you plan to use your pool. If you plan on using it only for playing or pool parties, then you can enjoy either a freeform pool or a geometric pool. Geometric pools, however, are often better options for pool sports like volleyball or water polo, or for swimming laps.
- Consider your style preferences: It will also be important to consider your style preferences. Geometric pools offer crisp, straight lines with a contemporary look, while freeform pools can offer a more relaxed look for your yard. Either option offers a lot of flexibility in the overall shape of the pool, though.
